About me

My name is Neil Iakini, I am a level designer from France, currently in my third year of study at Breda University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands). I am currently looking for an internship!

With a background in arts and design, I developed my sketching and visual skills first while learning the design fundamentals, before beginning my studies as a level designer where I was able to use that knowledge as a foundation.

I am passionate about creating immersive, beautiful and fun experiences, I am always eager to collaborate on awesome projects !

What level design means to me

At first I believed level design to be the meeting point between art, and gameplay, but I quickly realized it was so much more. It is the convergence of almost every aspect of the game, and even more. It combines cinematography, architecture, narrative, gameplay and many more facets into one neat experience.

Being at the center of this intersection, and these people, is what makes me so passionate about level design. Level designers never stop learning.

To me, being a level designer ultimately means to find the fun, and to create an experience for others to find it too.
